Pittsburgh Comicon Picspam
A hard one to snap but here is L driving us to
I sat in the back with Z – he brought some mandatory reading material to help us prepare for when zombie’s attack (notice I said WHEN and not IF b/c we all know if WILL happen.)
M said there was something in her eye – but I think she just didn’t want to drive.
This is Fred – Fred is cool. Not just b/c he looks awesome as Blade but…
b/c he has the sword sticking out of his back. How cool is that?
Steeldog has a rough life
I am Batman!
I told Z to be menacing but he looks like he’s about to cry?
One of THE best costumes this weekend – the Gamorean Guard. It’s insanely hard to get good pics as crowded as it was.
The zombie was cool – but I cut his head off so we’ll come back.
I have no clue who this is supposed to be so if anyone can enlighten me please do so. It happened later, but there was an old wrestler (Virgil?) who told this guy to come back and bite me and the guy stepped back like he was going to. Creepy wrestler.
Hellboy
Stealth photo attempt failure – I wasn’t at all prepared when we went to talk to Aaron. I didn’t even have my camera out. Plus I’m shy whereas my sister isn’t at all. She doesn’t even watch BSG and told him so but not until after she told him we drove the 2.5 hours just to see him. She did see him in Stargate though. She also felt the need to tell him I was shy. We started looking though the photos he had for autographs and I picked one where he was in costume, but it was between takes –with his nose stuck in Flyboys. Aaron said they were filming on a dock and the weather was so nice he took his chair outside. He signed it to Cat, what my family calls me for short, and asked me, “Do you I lay on the floor and sun yourself in the light?” By now I was completely red but smiling from ear to ear. We left the table to walk around some more and that’s when I realized I forgot to mention Aaron’s Angels, or even snap a single pic. I took all the pics from above before making it back and trying to sneak one but he caught me. I’ve met Katee, Tahmoh, James, and Aaron now and I gotta say Aaron’s the coolest.
David Prowse – but L was afraid to go talk to him. He says he has his autograph, but I tried to explain to him if you don’t get it in person it shouldn’t count… unless they are dead.
Stealth photo sucess
L and his new best friend.
Z was tired by now and since we wouldn’t go and sit down he just sat on the floor.
My favorite superhero of all time – but in the costume I hate. Wolverine should look like Hugh Jackman 24/7
Batgirl
And some dude that’s supposed to be Indiana Jones?
Leonard Lies - Machete Zombie (uncredited) A guy who created an entire marketing campaign (photos and props - as seen here - you can buy at his table) from a scene in a single movie about 30 years ago. You did read the uncredited part from above right? On another note – do you think this counts as child abuse?
Stealth photo success
I asked for this pose – and Aaron being the cool guy he is didn’t let me down at all. I suck at icons (as you can see by my attempt at the top) so I hope I can find someone cool enough to help me out.
Zombie attempt #2 – I didn’t cut his head off and you can see the fear in Z.
My sis M
and her tongue ring – this used to creep me out but I’ve gotten better.
Dawn of the Dead was filmed here – and happened to be right beside the convention… And we only got a few weird looks snapping pictures at the mall. Honest.
Serious Zombies Are Attacking Face
And L’s shoes of the day.
All in all - I liked the setup of the Comicon but I did feel like I missed a little something b/c Aaron didn't have the hour+ long time on stage to talk an take questions. I'm never the type to ask a question, but I like to listen to everyone. I did see somewhere that he did an interview so I might check that out.
