Pittsburgh Comicon Picspam

All in all - I liked the setup of the Comicon but I did feel like I missed a little something b/c Aaron didn't have the hour+ long time on stage to talk an take questions. I'm never the type to ask a question, but I like to listen to everyone. I did see somewhere that he did an interview so I might check that out.

The lowdown of my trip to the Star Wars/Star Trek/BSG convention (October 4-6^th ) My sister, Mel, her boyfriend L, and I hopped into the car and drove 10 hours from Maryland to Chicago for the convention. Years from now – here is what I will remember… both the good and bad.

My first post – so here goes.

I put together a list of things I’ve wanted to do but never got around to. I read an article about a website that helps people save up money and how everyone does it better with an audience. I hope the same applies here. I’ve left off some of the normal stuff you might expect (like have a child, or climb the stairs to the top of the Statue of Liberty) b/c only things I’ve not yet done will make the list.

Give the Americas a chance to miss me (b/c I don’t think visiting Canada or Mexico should count)

Hit all 50 states (had an elaborate plan involving what counted that now makes me say wtf was I thinking. Me even in a car counts. )

Get my geek on at a scifi convention (planning on one in Oct)

Enjoy a crappy movie at above 30000 feet (don’t really have to ‘enjoy’ it but the height is a requirement)

Watch AFI's Top Ten (Citizen Kane, Casablanca, Godfather, Gone with the Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, Wizard of Oz, Graduate, On the Waterfront, Schindler’s List, Singin’ in the Rain
